(MENAFN) German regulators announced they have approved the deal of code sharing between Etihad Airways and Air Berlin for the winter season, Gulf News reported.
This decision comes after the German federal aviation authority’s (LBA) rejected the application made by Etihad Airways to codeshare on 34 Air Berlin flights over the upcoming winter and summer season, which will affect 46.000 passengers last week.
Etihad, which was angered by the previous decision last week calling it “unprecedented” and “incorrect”, said that this decision will impact the carrier’s routes between Hamburg, Stuttgart and Berlin to Abu Dhabi.
“Etihad Airways welcomes the approval of all its codeshares with Air Berlin for the winter season,” an Etihad spokesperson said.
