(MENAFN) A global consortium of huge solar power and engineering industries firms proclaimed the start of building Egyptian solar plants to produce 2 GW power with USD 3.5bn.
Moreover, the project covers Bahrain-based Terra Sola Ventures (Terra Sola), Swiss wealth management firm Terra Nex, RWE New Energy and others.
In addition, Terra Sola aims building a 200 MW PV module manufacturing facility and an inverter fab to be used for the consortium’s own solar plants as well as exporting.
Furthermore, the consortium established an office in Egypt to collaborate with the Egyptian government to start conducting studies and application phases.
