(MENAFN) Groupon Middle East’s CEO, Alexander Kappes, announced that the world’s biggest online daily deals provider eyes setting up 6 offices in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, reported Arabian Business.
Kappes said that the aim of the new openings is to increase the company’s market share.
He added that the company will set up offices in Kuwait and Qatar, which have been showing very strong gross domestic product (GDP) growth over the past couple of years.
Moreover, the firm will open offices in Oman, Bahrain and at least 1-2 head offices in Saudi.
It is worth noting that Groupon posted a surge of 45 percent in its second-quarter global revenues.
