(MENAFN) India’s imports of urea from Oman India Fertiliser Company (Omifco) hit 1.83 million tons in the first 10 months of the 20132014 fiscal year, Times of Oman reported.
The imported figure is part of India’s total urea imports of 6.79 million tons at a cost of USD1.92 billion in the ten-month period.
India imported a total of 8.04 million tons of urea in the previous fiscal year, of which 1.83 million tons came from Omifco.
Omifco is a joint venture between Oman Oil Company, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative and Krishak Bharati Cooperative.
