(MENAFN) India’s Lava International co-founder and director, Shailendra Nath Rai, stated that the mobile phone firm has inked a deal with Dubai’s Sharaf Electronics, reported Arabian Business.
Rai said that the deal will allow the Indian firm to distribute its products, including smart phone devices, in the UAE and Bahrain through Sharaf Electronics’ 21 stores.
The New Delhi-based firm, which is one of the 3 main mobile phone brands in India, sees the UAE as an important part of its global development, as the Gulf country is one of the most lucrative mobile phone markets, with penetration rates in 2012’s second quarter reaching 230 percent.
It is worth noting that Lava International was established in 2009, and its sales in its home market exceeded 6 million devices in 2012.
