(MENAFN) India’s The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts’ president, Rajiv Kaul, announced that the hotel chain will soon sign a deal to manage a luxury property in Dubai, reported Arabian Business.

Kaul said that the management contract for the 400-rooms property is the company’s first abroad.

The chain, which at the current time manages 8 properties in India, plans to double its portfolio during the coming 5 years.

Meanwhile, he noted that the group plans to divest its non-core assets in Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

It is worth noting that Leela has marketing alliances with Germany’s Kempinski hotels and US Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
