India’s Punj Lloyd secures USD57m contract in Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN) Al-Khafji Joint Operations has awarded USD57 million contract to Indian conglomerate Punj Lloyd for an offshore project in Al-Khafji in Saudi Arabia, Arabian Business reported.

Al-Khafji Joint Operations, a joint operation of Aramco Gulf Operations Company Limited and Kuwaiti Gulf Oil Company – which is behind oil and gas exploration development and production in an offshore area between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The contract includes detail design, engineering, procurement, testing, transportation and construction and installation of a new crude transmission line, and 40 km submarine rigid pipeline.

The engineering, procurement and construction group said the project was scheduled for commissioning in September 2014.
