(MENAFN) The Rising of food prices in Dubai for the first six months of the year resulted in increasing in consumer price index(CPI) up to 2.74 percent according to Dubai statistics center(DSC) on Wednesday.
CPI report said that the driven increase in prices in the first half of the year affected major groups: housing, water, electricity, gas and fuels at 4.58 percent, education (4.43 percent), food and non-alcoholic drinks (3.36 percent), furniture and household goods (2.53 percent), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.35 percent), restaurants and hotels (2.19 percent), health (2.16 percent), miscellaneous goods and services (1.76 percent), transport (0.79 percent), communications (0.70 percent), and culture and recreation (0.11 percent).
The report noted clothing and footwear been made fell by 2.89 percent.
