(MENAFN) The Iranian ambassador to Amman, Mostafa Moslehzadeh, said that his country is ready to provide Jordan with gas, reported Tehran Times.

Moslehzadeh added that the amount would be delivered via the pipelines currently used to supply Iraq and Turkey, or via ship.

He also said that in 2011, his government offered to supply Jordan with its needs of natural gas.

It is worth noting that since March 2011, Iran exported around 7.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
