(MENAFN) A report by an Iraqi news agency said that Iraq will not fund the oil pipeline project to Jordan and Egypt, stating that the project would be financed by the executing companies on an investment basis, according to Emirates 24/7.
Some international firms intend to fund the huge pipeline project between Jordan and Iraq, reported the Iraqi Media Network.
Thamer Al Ghadban, head of the consultants” committee in the Iraqi cabinet, said: “We are still sticking to the plan to carry out this project through investment not direct financing. We have already received bids from some international consortiums.”
