(MENAFN) Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice president for Sales Middle East, Russia and Central Asia, Marty Bentrott, stated that the plane maker has handed over a 777-200LR to Iraq, reported Arabian Business.
Bentrott said that Baghdad has also 30 Next-Generation 737-800s on order, in addition to 10 787 Dreamliners as it plans to re-establish its aviation industry following years of conflict.
The first of the 30 Next-Generation 737-800s on order will be delivered mid next year, in addition to 10 787 Dreamliners.
It is worth noting that long-range, twin-aisle aircraft, including the Boeing 777 and 787 Dreamliner, will dominate the Middle East’s order books, according to the Boeing Current Market Outlook (CMO).
