Iraq’s BGC starts design of project in Basra

(MENAFN) Basrah Gas Company (BGC) announced the start of the design phase of a new Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Train 1 project in Basra, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

The project is expected to add approximately 500 million standard cubic feet per day (scfd) to the BGC”s gas production capacity.

The contract includes the basic engineering design package of the NGL process units, utilities and the submission of an engineering procurement and construction package.

BGC is a three-way joint venture between Iraq South Gas Company which holds 51 percent, Shell with 44 percent and Mitsubishi with 5 percent.
