(MENAFN) The International Data Corporation (IDC) said that the IT market in Saudi Arabia is projected to go over USD12.4 billion by 2016, Saudi Gazette reported.
IDC’s Vice President and Managing Director for the Middle East, Africa and Turkey in his opening speech at the Saudi Arabia CIO Summit 2013 talked about ICT spending pattern changes and the requirements of ICT users.
“Indeed, IDC believes at least 80 percent of the CIO’s strategic energy and investments must focus on strengthening the 3rd Platform capabilities of their departments, a sure-fire sign that the Saudi ICT market is making very real progress,” he said.
The Saudi IT market is currently the largest in the Middle East region with a total of USD1 billion last year.
