(MENAFN) Italy confirmed to upgrade Egypt’s Middle East Oil Refinery (MIDOR), collaborating in building a complex for petrochemical industries in Ain Sokhna.
Accordingly, the projects are also predicted to grow energy efficiency, while Italian Minister of Economy proclaimed that Egypt is keen on attracting Italian investments.
In addition, the trade volume between Egypt and Italy logged USD 5.68mn in 2014, an increase compared with USD 5.24mn in 2013.
Moreover, a leap was expected in Egyptian-Italian economic relations, predicting the participation of Italian firms in large-scale projects, like the Suez Canal Area Development.
