Japan’s imports from GCC grow 13.7% in Jan-Oct 2012

(MENAFN) The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) announced that the country’s imports from states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) jumped by around 13.7 percent in the January-October period of 2012, reported Emirates 24/7.

In the 10-month period, the GCC exports to Japan reached approximately USD131.3 billion, up from USD115.8 billion in 2011’s same period.

On the other hand, Japan’s exports to the GCC surged by almost 31 percent to around USD20.7 billion from almost USD15.8 billion.

It is worth noting that the GCC’s trade surplus with Japan grew to USD110.7 billion in the period from USD100 billion in 2011’s first 10 months.
