Jazan to witness establishment of USD10b port

(MENAFN) Sources reported that plans are under way to establish a state-of-the-art port with a shipbuilding plant in Jazan at a cost of USD10 billion, Arab News reported.

The project includes establishment of a ship building factory and a hotel, adviser to Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Nasser, director of international relations at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said.

He said work on the project would start soon, adding that “Prince Turki will meet with Jazan Gov. shortly to present the project and identify a suitable location for the port.”
