(MENAFN) Accor Middle East managing director, Christophe Landais, announced that the French hotelier would develop its first Novotel property in the Saudi city of Jeddah, bringing the number of the company’s hotels in the Kingdom to 13, reported Arabian Business
Landais said that the management agreement was inked with Ahmed Saleh Kaki Sons Company, a family-owned diversified business group.
He added that Accor is expanding its network in Saudi, adding that recently, the French company has inked 2 new contracts for Sofitel and Suite Novotel in Riyadh, and has a pipeline of 8 projects under construction in the country.
Novotel Jeddah, which is scheduled to open by the year-end, will comptise 143 rooms and suites, a restaurant and lobby lounge, 350 sq m of meeting space, a health club and swimming pool.
In the Kingdom, there are 2 Novotel hotels operational t the current time, Novotel Riyadh Al Anoud and Novotel Dammam Business Park, whereas Novotel Jizan Corniche is under development and is projected to open in 2015.
