(MenaFn) A Jeddah Islamic Port’s official (JIP) stated that the port received 30.6 million tons of goods in the first six months of the current year compared to 30.9 million tons in the six months of 2012, according to Arab News.
The amount of goods that the JIP handled forms 33.6 percent of the overall goods, including imports and exports, at all Saudi ports, while the twenty-foot equivalent units formed 70 percent of the total containers which were handled by all Saudi’s ports.
The port handled 917.214 tons of the foodstuffs in May and 766.000 tons in June.
