JLR reports 40% increase in ME sales in Q2

(MENAFN) British Luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover said it Middle East and North Africa (MENA) jumped 40 percent during the second quarter of 2013, Arabian Business reported.

The company said the figures for April to June represented a strong start to its fiscal year and included a record breaking month for sales in May.

Sales of Land Rover-brand vehicles increased by 43 percent in the region, helped by the success of the All-New Range Rover.

Also, the Range Rover Evoque sales rose 28 percent, while the Land Rover LR4 sales were up 17 percent.

As for the Jaguar brand, sales increased by 26 percent in the period. MENA region is the fifth largest market for the brand globally.

Sales of the Jaguar XF increased by 45 percent, along with the Jaguar F-TYPE, with both showing significant growth in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, the company said in a statement.
