Jordan extends deadline for Red-Dead Sea Water Project

(MENAFN) The Ministry of Water and Irrigation proclaimed the final submission date of the prequalification proposals for the first phase of Red-Dead Sea Water Project.

Moreover, the ministry surpassed the original date for submitting the prequalification offers of firms, and consortia of investors for the project.

Additionally, the project’s main components are a seawater intake structure; an intake pump station; a sweater pipeline; a desalination plant.

The country signed an agreement with Israel and Palestine in Dec 2013 to implement the first phase of the Red-Dead project.
