(MENAFN) Jordan received USD 716mn remittances from the UAE in 2015, which is amid the top five remittance receiving countries in the Middle East and N. Africa.
Moreover, remittances play an essential role in Jordan’s economy contributing to more than 10 percent of the kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP).
In addition, remittances to the kingdom are predicted to stay strong as the UAE will host global events like the Expo 2020 world exhibition.
Jordan is receiving very active remittance from the UAE, due to the huge Jordanian population in the country, and it will continue to grow.
