Jordan signs USD6.9b list of contracts, accords

(MENAFN) Jordan announced the signing of multiple contracts and accords with a total value of about USD6.9 billion, most of which are in the energy sector, Jordan News Agency reported.

One of the contracts is a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), dedicated for the building of a 1 gigawatt assortment of solar and wind projects with the Chinese Firm Hanergy.

Another, among many, is an accord for the exploration of oil and gas at Hamzah Oil Field between Canadian firm Transeuro and MEMR at a value of USD21 million.
