Jordan-Ukraine trade up by 30% in Jan-Aug

(MENAFN) Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovych, announced that bilateral trade between his country and Jordan during the January-August period jumped by 30 percent, reported Xinhua News.

Speaking to a delegation headed by Jordan’s Lower House Speaker Abdul Karim Dughmi, Yanukovych said that the Arab country remains one of Kiev’s most important trading partners in the Near East.

Last year, Jordan boosted its investments in Ukraine by around 10 percent from 2010, to USD3.2 million.

It is worth noting that mutual trade volume between Jordan and Ukraine reached USD487.72 million in 2011.
