(MENAFN) Exports of Jordan’s agricultural produce declined by 24 percent during the first third of this year compared to the same period of 2015.
Moreover, the kingdom exported 162,000 tons of fruit and vegetables through the Jan- April period 2016, while the figure reached 214,000 tons of 2015.
However, exports are gradually recovering, while the drop in the first four months of last year was 27 percent compared to the same period of 2014.
In addition, vegetables covered the majority of exports, underscoring that more than 60 percent of the exported vegetables were tomatoes.
