Jordan’s inflation rate declines by 1.2 percent

(MENAFN) Consumer price average declined by 1.2 percent at the end of the Jan-May period of 2016 compared with the figure recorded at the end of May last year.

Moreover, the decline was due to a slowdown in transport, fuel and lighting prices, reflecting global trends.

In addition, the prices of meat and poultry fell down by 7.6 percent, as stated the Department of Statistics.

On the other hand rents continued to be the main driver for the increase, recreation, clothing and education expenses ticked up.
