(MENAFN) Jordan’s total public debt reached JD26.046bn by the end of Sep, or 95 percent of the GDP of JD27.410bn.
Additionally, the government guaranteed debts of the state-run National Elect Power Co. and the Water Authority of Jordan reached alone JD6.6bn.
Moreover, the net public debt until Sep 30 went up by JD1.318bn, or 8.5 percent, from the end of last year.
On the other hand, the net local debt, including that of financially independent government agencies in the cited period reached JD14.717bn.
