Jordan’s trade deficit falls by 10pct

(MENAFN) Jordan’s trade deficit declined to 10 percent in the January-September period of the year, according to the Department of Statistics.

However, there was also a 4-percent drop in the nation’s total exports which amounted to JOD3.9bn.

Additionally, the decline in the trade deficit was driven by an 8.1-percent fall in the total value of the kingdom’s imports amid the same period.

Meanwhile, the drop in its imports stood at almost JOD10bn compared with JOD10.9bn in the same period of last year.
