(MENAFN) According to the Jordanian Department of Statistics, the unemployment rate in Jordan for the July-September period has reached 11.4 percent of the population, QNA reported.
The department said that the unemployment among men was 9.2 percent, while it increased to reach 22 percent among women.
During the third quarter of this year, the unemployment rate registered a decline by 0.6 percent compared to the April-June period, due to employment policies adopted by the public and private sectors that offered more jobs to Jordanians in the labor market.
The department also said that according to the statistics, joblessness was especially higher among bachelor degree holders, standing at 17.9 percent, compared with others possessing different educational qualifications.
