Jubail’s contract given to Foster Wheeler

(MENAFN) Aramco Overseas Company B.V. (AOC) awarded Foster Wheeler an engineering, procurement and construction management contract for a propylene oxide (PO) unit in Jubail, Arab News reported.

Aramco Overseas Company is a joint company owned by Saudi Aramco and Dow Europe Holding B.V..

The contract was awarded as an extension to the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract awarded to Foster Wheeler by AOC and Dow in 2008.

This unit, aimed to be one of the largest of its kind in the world, will be constructed, owned and operated by Sadara Chemical Company (Sadara), a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow. The unit is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2015.

Foster Wheeler AG is a global engineering and construction contractor and power equipment supplier delivering technically advanced, reliable facilities and equipment.
