(MENAFN) The government in Iraqi Kurdistan is positive that it can soon find a compromise with Baghdad over oil exports from the region through a pipeline to Turkey, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) said that oil has begun to flow through the pipeline, and exports are set to commence at the end of January and would increase in the following months.
KRG spokesman said: “The framework was already agreed in Baghdad – it’s more a matter of the technicalities,” adding that “it’s just a matter of sitting down and agreeing on it”.
