(MENAFN) Kuwait Airways Co. aims to add a flight to Washington DC or Chicago despite mounting U.S. travel restrictions, as the Gulf carrier revives long-standing efforts to compete with its prosperous regional peers.
Meanwhile, the additions, may also involve new services to Seoul, Manchester, Sarajevo or airports in China, Morocco and KSA.
However, the plan was delayed again after a parliamentary committee in June proclaimed it wants the firm to remain under government ownership.
Al-Rushaid, who took charge of the airline in April, is revising the carrier’s restructuring plan and predicts to post revenue by the 2020-21 fiscal years.
