(MENAFN) Kuwait’s population expanded at 2.8 percent in the past five years to 2015, supported by a huge influx of expatriates.
Furthermore, low infant mortality and high life expectancy have also been instrumental in leading to high population increase.
However, the country experienced a decline in the infant mortality rate from 10.7 to 7.6 per 1.000 live births amid 2009-2013.
On the other hand, infant mortality rate which used to be 2.2 percent per 1000 population under the age of five years in 2015 also improved to 1.7 in 2014.
