(MENAFN) Kuwait’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) said that it is currently holding talks with a Russian delegation to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral investments and joint ventures between the two countries, KUNA reported.
KCCI said that the two countries need to benefit from the existing strong economic and commercial relations between the two countries, which could be improved after Kuwait has improved its laws which will help Russian investors in areas such as energy, transportation and infrastructure.
“That the chamber is fully prepared to handover information on the new laws and in turn, to provide Kuwaiti investors with investment opportunities offered by the Russian delegation to seize the appropriate opportunities,” The head of KCCI said in a speech.
During the April-June period, Kuwait’s imports from Russia reached around USD29.09 million, while Kuwait’s exports to Russia amounted to about USD 739.37 during the same period
