Kuwait signs USD57.7m deal to replace power lines

(MENAFN) Kuwait signed an agreement worth USD57.7mn in order to replace overhead power lines in scattered areas among the country.

Accordingly, the deal signed with electromechanical firm EMECO, involves replacing 3300, 132-kilovolvt power lines in many areas in the country.

The restoration is predicted to result in maximal and durable electrical capacity, in addition that the contract is valid for 34 months.

Moreover, the company will also use up to 500-kilovolvt electrical equipment.
