(MENAFN) According to the Head of the Trade Representation Office at the Egyptian Embassy in Kuwait, Kuwaiti investments in Egypt have reached USD2.8 billion, Gulf News reported.
The office also said that the commercial trade between the two countries increased 32 percent during the first three quarters of 2014, an increase from the USD405 million recorded in 2013, which itself was an increase by 16 percent compared to 2012.
Meanwhile, the value of Egyptian exports to Kuwait have reached USD345 million, while Kuwaiti imports from Egypt stood at USD60 million per year.
The office contributed the growth in commercial trade between the two countries to the 927 Kuwaiti companies currently operating in different fields in Egypt, including tourism, real estate, finance and industry.
