(MENAFN) Agility, the Kuwaiti logistics company, said it expects that revenue will resume growing next year due to the expansion of business in the emerging markets as well as the new sectors the company is currently developing, Arabian Business reported.
The company, which has more than 20.000 employees in over 500 offices in more than 100 countries, is considered to play a big role in the Gulf’s rapidly expanding trade links with the rest of the world, especially emerging markets in Asia and Africa.
Agility’s logistics and freight businesses, which account for most of its revenue, unstable in the last few years, with total revenue sinking 7 percent to USD2.28 billion in the January-June period of this year, after it dropped by 3 percent last year as well.
“Globally, revenues have been affected by conditions that have challenged the freight forwarding industry, resulting in Agility focusing on how it could boost productivity,” Agility’s CEO said.
