05 Nov 2012

(MENAFN) Kuwaiti airplane leasing firm ALAFCO and Boeing Co. announced they have finalized a 20-airplane order deal, AP reported.

ALAFCO made an order for 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8s valued at USD2 billion at current list price.

ALAFCO buys planes and then leases them to airlines. The deal was first announced in July at Britain’s Farnborough Airshow.

The order brings the total number of 737 MAX orders to date to 878 for Chicago-based Boeing.

The companies did not say when the planes are expected to be delivered.
