(MENAFN) Lebanon has recently started installing fiber optics in big cities and 85 percent of the Lebanese population will have access to the services by the end of 2017.
Accordingly, the recent installation of fiber optics is part of the 2020 plan launched in July of 2015, while fiber-optic networks will be installed over 5 years.
In addition, the 2020 plan also aims at offering Lebanon with 4G services, while the country is expecting full coverage with 4G services by the end of 2016.
Meanwhile, Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Group proclaimed that they would continue working on enhancing information technology in the Arab region.
