(MENAFN) The Lebanese Industry Ministry said that industrial exports in the January-August period fell to USD1.713b, a 14.7% drop from the same period of 2015.
Industry Minister stated: “There are several reasons behind the drop in our industrial exports. Among these reasons are the high cost of transportation, fierce competition…”
Moreover, the war in Syria has denied easy access for Lebanese-made goods to many Arab countries like Iraq and Gulf States.
