(MENAFN) Chinese Lenovo boosted its sales in the Middle East and North Africa region (Mena) by 24 percent unaffected by the 18.5 percent drop in the global desktop market, The National reported.
The PC manufacturer managed to ship 12.6 million units in the April-June period of this year, while global PC market fell by 11 percent.
Lenovo currently ranks top in market shares in Qatar, UAE and Egypt. In the second quarter, the company’s sales surged by 15.1 percent in UAE and by 9.3 percent in Saudi Arabia.
Lenovo took US Hewlett-Packard place as the leading PC manufacturer with a 16.7 percent in the global market.
