(MENAFN) Lenovo Middle East and Africa Executive Director and General Manager, Oliver Ebel, stated that the company will introduce nearly 5 smartphone models in the UAE and Saudi Arabia in 2013, reported Gulf News.
Ebel said that the new devices will be launched in the low-end, mid-range and high-end price segments.
He added that currently, the Chinese firm is focusing on the Android operating system; however, it’s open to Windows Phone 8.
The devices screen sizes range from 4-inch to 5.5-inches, and most of the gadgets feature dual SIM card options.
Ebel noted that at a later stage, Lenovo will unveil its premium smartphone running on Intel’s Atom processor with a super-slim profile, K900.
It is worth noting that Lenovo held a 13.2-percent market share in China in 2012, while its sales in the Asian country in the fourth quarter reached 19.5 million units.
