LG exports 700,000 TV screens value USD 150mn in Egypt

(MENAFN) LG Electronics exported 700,000 TC screens value USD 150mn last year, which were produced in 10th of Ramadan.
Moreover, the firm’s plan to manufacture new screens with OLED tech in its factories regionally, reflecting the firm’s confidence in the Egyptian market.
In addition, the new TV screen with OLED tech has better color accuracy, an 80 percent slimmer screen and 30 percent lighter weight compared to LED screens.
However, the country suffered from a difficulty in offering US dollars as the foreign exchange reserves declined from USD 35bn in 2011 to USD 16.5bn in 2016.
