(MENAFN) The National Oil Corporation in Libya said that major Sharara oil field has reopened after a workers’ protest and should return to normal production within three days.
While Sharara had been producing nearly 270,000 barrels per day (bpd), employees went on strike over a lack of medical treatment for a colleague who died in a swimming pool accident at the field.
However, after a meeting of the NOC board and Sharara’s operating company the announcement was made.
In which NOC Chairman Mustafa Sanalla ordered a review of ambulance services.
