(MENAFN) Maroc Telecom, Morocco’s major telecom operator has proclaimed its 2016 net income attributable to shareholders was flat at 5.59bn dirhams, while revenues were boosted by African subsidies.
In addition, excluding restructuring expenses for a voluntary redundancy plan, last year earnings increased by 3.2 percent from a year earlier to 5.77bn dirham.
Moreover, the firm, controlled by UAE’s Etisalat Group said that revenue rose 3.3 percent last year from a year earlier to 35.25bn dirhams on local revenues.
However, mobile revenue in Morocco, its main source of income, fell by 1.1 percent amid overall revenue in the country increased 1 percent.
