Mexico’s Carlos Slim to invest in Saudi petchem industry: Report

(MENAFN) Mexican telecommunications magnate Carlos Slim Helu is said to be eyeing investments in Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical industry, reported Arabian Business citing local Arabic daily Al Riyadh.

According to Al Riyadh, the world’s richest man is establishing joint ventures with Saudi private investors to set up a petrochemical project at the Kingdom’s Jubail industrial area.

The Mexican businessman selected the country due to its success in developing several industrial cities and its initiatives to draw foreign investments.

It is worth noting that Slim is estimated to be worth USD49 billion.
