(MENAFN) The Middle East could add USD 380bn to its local economic output by 2020 if it brings more than 200mn unconnected, 62 percent of the local population online.
Additionally, recent internet penetration rate, people who are allowed to access the internet in the Middle East reaches 38 percent.
However, global internet growth is declining despite the ongoing digital revolution and the number of new internet subscribers has grown since 2013.
On the other hand, internet is a main driver of growth and maker of new, high value jobs around the world, which makes digital inclusion tool for development reduction.
