Morocco aims to invest USD685mn to build new port

(MENAFN) Morocco will issue USD685mn in the building of the new energy port of Jorf Lasfar (NPJL), which will start after finishing of the studies of the port”s harbor works later this year.

On the other hand, the construction of the port is projected to take almost five years.

Accordingly, the plan, which involves 6 port poles, aims to reinforce the port offer of the Abda-Doukkala region, which will fulfill the nation’s needs.

In addition, the new port will handle LNG transport in the first phase and will meet the needs of hydrocarbon traffic in Phase 2.
