(MENAFN) The Kingdom of Morocco inflation rate increased to a yearly 1.6 percent by the end of the first quarter of the year, according to the High Planning Authority, Reuters reported.
In February, the inflation rate stood at 1.3 percent. Food inflation however was 1.8 percent in the same month, but also was driven to increase in March, reaching 2.1 percent.
As for the non-food Consumer Price Index (CPI), it also increased by 1.2 percent. Nonetheless, the CPI was leveled in March due to the decline in food prices by 0.4 percent.
