(MENAFN) Dubai’s Nakheel issued a tender for piling works at its USD680 million Nakheel mall project. The project is expected to finish in 2016, Arabian Business reported.
The project being developed on Palm Jumeirah is spread over 82,593 square meters (sq m) and the built up area will be 418,181 sq m. The project will have over 250 shops, food court, two major department stores, one supermarket and a cinema.
Also, there will be a 1,000 sq m indoor garden and a five-star hotel containing 200 rooms. A link between the mall and Jumeirah monorail system will be established.
The mall will have three basement levels for parking and three levels for retail.
“Nakheel Mall will bring a new dimension to shopping, dining and leisure in Dubai. It will enhance the services and facilities available to residents of Palm Jumeirah, and provide an exciting new destination for people across the UAE, including the millions of tourists who visit our country each year,” Nakheel chairman Al Rashid Lootah said.
