(MENAFN) Nakheel, the Dubai developer, reported it has signed a contract at an estimated worth of USD40.8 million for The Boardwalk, a new 11km waterfront attraction on Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Business reported.
The contract, which was signed with Contractor Overseas AST Company LLC, appoints OAC to build The Boardwalk, with work scheduled to begin by the end of this month, and be completed by mid-2016.
The Boardwalk is expected to transform Palm Jumeirah’s 11km breakwater into a retail destination, with the addition of 30 kiosks offering refreshments and souvenirs and will be accessible from 14 points along the existing sidewalk.
